HONORING THE LIFE OF "DAY DAY"

A ONE OF KIND SOUL

Thayron Darell Paxton, Sr., commonly known as "Day Day," was born on January 28, 1982 to the proud parents of Precious Paxton and Freddie Lee Paxton, Sr., in West Los Angeles, CA. He was the youngest of four children. Thayron attended Braddock Drive Elementary School, Mark Twain Middle School, and Venice Skills Center.

Thayron was always about his money. He was a bonafide hustler. At the age of 14, he started working for Clean & Green Youth Development Program. Years later, he worked for Dutch Post Global Mail.

At the age of seventeen, Thayron met his first true love, Natasha Campbell. Together they made four beautiful children: Thayron Paxton, Jr., Keymari Paxton, Akaycia Paxton, and Tania Paxton. Although the relationship between Thayron and Natasha didn't last, they managed to be friends and co-parents for the sake of their children.

Thayron was very handy with his hands. As a kid, he loved to assemble model cars. From there his interest in utilizing his hands to fix items increased. He event went as far as breaking things just to see if he could repair it. Throughout his life, he was the "go to" person to install music in vehicles. Not only was he good with his hands, he was also a great dancer, songwriter, rapper, and cook. His specialty was his gravy fries that he learned from his Uncle Ricky. Thayron was also known for his smile and love for his Venice family.

Thayron was led to church very early in life. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior as a young boy. He decided to get baptized at nine years old at New Bethel Baptist Church. Later in life, after moving to Antelope Valley, Thayron uplifted his spirit by following the services of Mount Hebron Baptist Church online via YouTube.

Thayron was survived by his four children: Thayron Paxton, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Keymari Paxton of Las Vegas, NV, Akaycia Paxton of Las Vegas, NV, and Tania Paxton of Las Vegas, NV; Three grandchildren: Ny'elli Paxton, I'Laiyah Livingston, Keymari Paxton, Jr., and one angel on the way; His mother, Precious Paxton of Los Angeles, CA; One sister, Treena Harris of Moreno Valley, CA; Two brothers: Jualain Ridley and Freddie Paxton, Jr., of Los Angeles, CA; Two sisters-in-law: LaKisha Ridley of Los Angeles, CA and DuPressa Johnson of California City, CA; Four nieces: Jau'lana and Jualayzia Ridley, and Destiny and Diamond Paxton, all of Los Angeles, CA; Six nephews: Keshawn Wright of Los Angeles, CA, Jaylain Ridley of Los Angeles, CA, Dontae Harris of Moreno Valley, CA, Terrell Harris of Moreno Valley, CA, and Jax Paxton of Los Angeles, CA; Seven aunts: Doris Jean Glasgow of Stockland, CA, Katherine Lewis of Las Vegas, NV, Roxanne Lewis of Las Vegas, NV, Monica Lewis-Burton of Las Vegas, NV, Debbie Paxon of Texarkana, AR, and his favorite auntie Sandra Caver of Los Angeles.
