PHAEDRA CHRISTINE
LEWIS PAGE
Nov 21, 1963 — Jul 6, 2026
Phaedra Christine Lewis Page was born on November 21, 1963, at White Memorial Hospital to Paul Clayton Lewis, Jr. and Florence Etta Lewis.
At an early age, Phaedra accepted Christ and was baptized at the African Methodist Church by her cousin, Stanley Harris. Her faith became an important part of the foundation upon which she built her life.
Phaedra attended Hamilton High School, where she was an active member of both the flag team and tennis team. She graduated in 1981 and continued her education with a calling to care for others. In 1985, Phaedra graduated from UCLA's Respiratory Program and began what would become an extraordinary 40 year career at Cedars Sinai Hospital. As a dedicated Respiratory Therapist, she spent decades caring for patients, comforting families, and supporting those around her. Her career was more than a profession; it was an extension of the compassion that came so naturally to her.
In 1990, Phaedra married Kevin Page, and from their union came five beautiful children: Matthew, Kevin, Madison, Christina, and Caitlyn. Among all of her accomplishments, one of Phaedra's greatest joys was being a mother. Her family was at the heart of her life, and she loved them in ways that were uniquely her own.
Phaedra loved to sew, often creating special items for the people she loved. She also enjoyed preparing meals and bringing those closest to her together through food. And anyone who truly knew Phaedra knew about her love of sweets. These simple pleasures were part of what made her uniquely Phaedra.
Perhaps on the of things people will remember most was her contagious laugh. It was the kind of laugh that could fill a room and make others smile right along with her. Her warmth, generosity, and caring spirit left an impression on the lives of her family, friends, coworkers, patients, and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
On July 6, 2026, Phaedra Christine Lewis-Page transitioned from this earthly life at the age of 62. While her physical presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she created remain.
Phaedra leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Kevin Page; her children, Matthew, Kevin, Madison, Christina, and Caitlyn; her brother, Paul Clayton Lewis III (Tina); her bonus mothers, Gertha Mae Williams and Yvonne Clayborn; her bonus brother, Curtis Darnell Williams; her bonus sister, Dee Dee Clayborn; her niece, A'lanna Glenae Lewis; her nephew, Lewis Paul Clayton IV; and her cousins, Michelle Moore, Ryan Moore, Lauren Moore, Milan Moore, Shavon Harris, Darnesha Johnson, Taylor Herndon, Tori "Trey" Payne III, Ja'Han "Boop" Brown, Janelle Brown, Erin Brown, Terrence "T" Brown Sr., Christina Brown, Terrance "TJ" Brown II, Christopher Brown, and Curtis D. Williams. She also leaves a host of aunts, cousins, extended family members, friends, coworkers, and loved ones who held a special place in her heart.
Phaedra was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Clayton Lewis, Jr. and Florence Etta Lewis; grandparents, Wendell "Gramps" Hamlett, Armenia "Mama" Hamlett, Dorothy Lewis, and Paul Lewis, Sr., her aunt, Rosa Brown; her bonus sister, Tracey Clayborn; and her godbrother, Len D. Breazeale.
For more than six decades, Phaedra's life told a story of faith, family, service, laughter, and love. For 40 years, she cared for others professionally, and throughout her lifetime, she poured that same care into the people she loved. Her beautiful laugh may no longer fill the room, but its echo will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Phaedra's life was a gift. Her love was a blessing. Her memory will forever be treasured.
