Iman Trenai Vaughn-Robertson

Iman Trenai Robertson was born on March 23, 1992, to Hedgemon C. Robertson and Carla Thomas in Los Angeles, California. Iman lost her mother at the tender age of 5 years old and her grandparents, Hedgemon Robertson Jr., Kathie Cain-Robertson, and Carlos and Kathy Thomas shared in her upbringing. 

Iman accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of Pastor Robert L. DeFrance, Jr. 

Iman received her education in the Los Angeles Unified School District and graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School in June 2010. She continued her education at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. She then went on to attend Pima Medical Institute in Tucson, Arizona where she received her certificate to become a Medical Assistant in September 2022. Iman began working as a Medical Assistant with HUMANA in Arizona and later worked at UCLA in Westwood, California. 

Iman met and married Martinez "Marty" Vaughn on June 6, 2012, in Phoenix, Arizona, and to this union they gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Sanaa Vaughn in 2015.

Iman had a beautiful smile and a kindness about her that when you met her, it would immediately impact you. Her PaPa Carlos would always say, "She was a precious gift given to him from his one and only daughter Carla (Bai)" and he loved her to the moon and back. 

Iman's mother Carla Thomas and her uncle Trayvon Turner both preceded her in death. 

Iman leaves to cherish her memories, her beautiful daughter Sanaa Vaughn of Arizona, her precious baby boy Keith Myers III affectionately known as "Tre" of Arizona, father Hedgemon C. Robertson of Long Beach, CA, one sister Nisaa S. Robertson of Austin, Texas, four brothers: Massai Z. Robertson, Nolan S. Robertson, both of Long Beach, CA; Nasir A. Robertson and Natnial A. Robertson both of Toronto, Canada; two aunts: Antoinette Turner of Santa Monica, CA, Hedeshia I. Robertson of Lakewood, CA; five uncles: Alfie Jones and Darnai Thomas of Inglewood, CA, Heshimu Robertson of Carson, CA, Hendrick Robertson of Lakewood, CA and Heith Robertson of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandparents: Carlos and Kathy Thomas of Inglewood, CA, Hedgemon Robertson Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kathie Cain-Robertson of Lake Elsinore, CA and Robbie Adams of Santa Monica, CA. She also leaves a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins, other family and friends.
