Godson was born to H.R.H. Azubuike Joseph Odunze and H.R.M. Grace Afuluenu Odunze in the Atani Kingdom, Ogbaru L.G.A., Anambra State, Nigeria.

Throughout his life, Godson was a hardworking and resourceful man who embraced many different careers and chapters. Whatever path he chose, he approached it with determination, responsibility, and a commitment to providing and doing what was right.

Beyond his work, Godson will be remembered for the man he was and the impact he had on the people around him. He loved to laugh, share stories, engage in thoughtful conversation, and celebrate life. He was giving with his time and his wisdom and had a natural ability to educate and offer advice. When he believed something was right, he was not afraid to stand firmly by his convictions.

A cornerstone of Godson’s life was his profound relationship with God. He cultivated a strong, personal faith and was never shy about sharing the importance of putting God first. His belief in God was something he carried with him throughout his life.

Godson was preceded in death by his mother and father and his wife, Marsha Lee-Odunze. Although life eventually took them in different directions, the years they shared remain an important part of his life story.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Ashley Odunze and Sasha Odunze; his beloved grandchildren, Aubree and Ammar; and his longtime companion, Lisa, along with her daughter, Mylisa, and granddaughter, Inemesit, who shared many years of love, laughter, companionship, and cherished memories with him. He will also be remembered by his siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends.

Godson’s life was shaped by countless experiences, lessons, moments of laughter, challenges, and accomplishments that made him the man he was. Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the lives he touched will remain a lasting part of his legacy. He will forever be remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

May his memory be a blessing. May the lessons he taught remain with us, may the love he gave continue to surround us, and may he rest peacefully in the presence of God.
