Celebrating the Life and Legacy of QUEEN Anita Renée Belvin
January 4, 1957 - Forever In Our Hearts
Queen Anita Renée was born on January 4, 1957, in Los Angeles, California, to the loving union of Andy and Esther Belvin. She was raised with strength, grace, and faith - qualities that defined her life and the way she loved others.
From a young age, Anita accepted Christ and dedicated her life to God. Her faith guided her steps and shaped her purpose. She later became an ordained minister, sharing the Word, praying for others, and leading with compassion and love. Ministry wasn't just something she did - it was who she was.
Anita had a beautiful, soulful voice and expressed her love for God through song. Gospel music filled her heart, and when she sang, she lifted every spirit in the room. She shared her gift with many, including singing with professional gospel groups such as the LA Gospel Messengers. Her favorite song, "Alabaster Box," touched everyone who heard her sing it.
She also found joy in caring for others through her work as a massage therapist, offering healing through her hands and comfort through her presence. Cooking was another expression of her love. Her meals brought family together, and her gumbo will forever remain a treasured favorite.
Above all, Anita cherished her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend - a steady source of strength, laughter, prayer, and unconditional love. Her family was her greatest pride and joy.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her children Cynbad Chasten, Zavi-Elle Walton-Baldwin, Son N' Love Christopher Baldwin, Michael Walton, and Daughter N' Love Olushawla Walton; Her grandchildren Adonis, Zany'e, Mia, Cay'Zaun, Zy'Ron, Baby Michael, and King; her mother Esther Belvin; Her siblings Delphine Lakes and Emil Belvin; Her nieces Shanee Lakes and LaJai Gigsby; Her nephews Kevin, LaVaughn, and LaQuan, Extended daughter Queana Davis, and goddaughter Hidayah Davis, along with a host of loving family and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Andy Belvin; her younger sister, LaRauna Belvin; and her grandmother, Judy Belvin.
Anita's life was a ministry of love, faith, music, and service. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on in every prayer we pray, every song we sing, and every meal shared around the table.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever our Queen.
